What Do We Do?

Dar Asfar is dedicated to gifting the joy of reading to children and young people in the Arab world by publishing distinctive and enjoyable children’s books that they choose to read. We welcome authors and illustrators, inviting them to submit their texts and samples of their artwork according to the guidelines provided here. Dar Asfar also offers publishing services to various governmental and private entities, showcasing our projects for these organizations.

Translation Proposals

Dar Asfar is keen on translating works from all languages into Arabic and welcomes our readers suggestions for books they would like to see translated via the form below. We also welcome inquiries from non-Arab publishing houses interested in acquiring children’s book rights.

We would be delighted to review samples of your work through our official email info@darasfar.com. We will respond within a maximum of two months. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

    1. Dar Asfar specializes in children’s literature and only accepts texts directed to children.
    2. Submit your text in a Word or PDF file, written in correct Arabic, free of errors, with numbered pages and the title and author’s name at the top.
    3. We do not accept initial ideas, only final texts.
    4. Include a brief author biography, a synopsis of the book, and its unique features in a separate file.
    5. We seek innovative and non-traditional texts.
    6. Write in a style suitable for children, avoiding excessive description.
    7. It is not necessary to include illustrations with your submission, as Dar Asfar will find a suitable illustrator for accepted texts.
    8. It is advisable to format the text in a table divided by pages, with each page accompanied by a visual scene as envisioned by the author.
    9. You may also submit texts for self-development, scientific, historical books, and others.
